Capt. Martin Served with Company I Holcolmb's Legion of the Wade Hampton Calvary Regiment. Captured during a raid on Federal Supply Depots outside Petersburg VA., he was transfered to FT. Pulaski GA where he joind 599 other captured Confederate officers and became what is now known as the Immortal 600. He was a life Long Resident of Fairforest, SC until his Death.
