Flossie Belle Campbell (obituary)

Flossie Campbell passed away peacefully at Bethel Home on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the age of 101, after a brief illness.

She was born in the town of Omro, Wisconsin on August 10, 1913, the daughter of Lynn and Opal (Cobler) Minckler of Waukau, Wisconsin. She married Harley J. Campbell in Oshkosh on June 19, 1937.

Flossie and her husband owned and operated H. J. Campbell Co. (a highway construction company) for many years. She was a member of Algoma Boulevard United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing cards, reading, car rides in the country, visiting with friends and family and traveling.

Surviving are her two sisters and brother-in-law, Lola Freund of Oshkosh and Fern (Robert) Tritt of Omro and many nieces nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley J. Campbell, sisters and brothers-in-law June (Clarence) Maas, Horicon, WI and Lois (Robert) Schneider, Oshkosh and brother-in-law, Alex Freund, sister-in-law, Cora Vesperman and infant brother, Forrest.

Private burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Waukau Cemetery, Waukau, Wisconsin.

The family would like to that the staff at Bethel Home for their compassionate care of Flossie.
