CATHERINE CLAWSON, 83, of 430 Elm St., Indiana, died Monday, March 14, 1988, in the Indiana Hospital. A daughter of James and Bridget O'Connell McCloskey, she was born April 28, 1903, in Reynoldsville. Mrs. Clawson was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Indiana and lived most of her life in the Indiana area. Surviving are two sons: William S., McKeesport, and Merle H., Maitland, Fla.; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Celia Tafe, Hubbard, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stewart Clawson on Oct. 18, 1979; a son, James. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Pastor Bernhard A. Bischoff will officiate with interment following in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
