Son of developer E.E. Bush and Margaret Jones Bush, her was born in Upper Sandusky and raised in Marion. He learned the banking business from Henry True, a family friend and professional mentor to Edson. Their working relationship helped to build The Marion County Bank into the strongest locally owned bank in Marion County for many years. Edson became President of the Marion County Bank when Mr. True retired. Edson was a man of his word. He understood that being President of a local financial institution meant he also had to be an active member of the community - in this way, he was a role model for others.
