Elizabeth S. Loughrie, 82, of Aurora, died April 11, 2000, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, in Oakland, Md. She was born Feb. 28, 1918, in Aurora, daughter of the late Dr. George C. Stemple and Bessie McClish Stemple. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aurora, and along with her late husband, owned and operated the Fairlea Motel and Restaurant in Aurora for more than 40 years. She is survived by four daughters and three spouses, Janice and Norman Hanline, of Oakland, Md., Georgia and Lowell Parsons, of Belmont, Angela Bishop, of Kingwood, and Frances and Gary Roth, of Aurora; a son, Dennis Loughrie, of Aurora; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gay Harold Loughrie in 1968; and by a daughter.
Burial will be in Aurora Cemetery.
