Coalville_ Ronald Robinson, 81, passed away August 22, 2007 in Salt Lake City. He was born February 14, 1926 in Coalville, Utah to Harvey W and Clarice Rees Robinson. He poined the United States Navy at age 17 with lifetime friend Dean Black and served on the USS Buoyant. He married Nina Jean Wilde on June 6, 1947. They had five children together. Ron and Nina raised sheep and cattle together on their farm in Chalk Creek for many years; this resulted in many wonderful memories of great fun and great food for all who helped them in the place, all of whom were watched over by beloved K9 companion, Katie. Ron was elected Summit County Sheriff in 1962 and retired in 1982. He also later served as a Summit County Commmissioner for a term, making many friends and acquaintances along the way. He lived a full and happy life, meeting many interesting people in his travels and always had a very fond memories of the many friends he made in Beaver Dam during his winters there.

He is survived by is children, Rona (David) Wright ,Coalville: Marsha (Van) Jenkins, Logan: Bob (Cathy) Robinson, Coalville; Kip Robinson, Coalville; eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, sisters, Fae Jensen, Ogden; Vera (Don) Wright, Coalville;brother, Jim(Sharon) Robinson, St. George. Preceded in death by his wife, Nina; sister, Norma Wilde. The family would like to thank Mom and Dad at this time for the many lessons learned and the quality of life they made possible by both of their hfard work and un-equaled heartfelt love.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27, 2007 at 12 noon at the Coalville LDS Stake Center.Friends and family may call at the stake center on Sunday, August 26, 2007, from 6-8 PM or Monday from 10L00 a.m. Interment, Coalville City Cemetery.
