Dan Neher died at his home in Frankfort, Tuesday, at the age of 81. This was "Big" Dan. D. I. Neher the lumber man, was always called "Little" Dan, to distinguish him from his cousin.
Daniel Neher was a son of Henry and Hannah Neher, and was born in Ross township. The Neher family was a large one. There was William Henry, Jim, John, and Dan, and a number of daughters.
Early in life Dan Neher married Nancy Sayler, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Sayler. They had five children β four sons and a daughter. The sons are all dead. The daughter is the wife of J. H. Lewis, of Indianapolis.
Mr. Neher was a member of the Brethren church at Cambria. The funeral service is to be held today β Friday, and the burial will be at the Bunnell cemetery.
