Mr Valentine Brighton died Monday at the home of his son-in-law, Mr Edward
Walborn. The funeral services were Wednesday. Interment was at Evergreen
Cemetery. The deceased was born near Greenville, Darke Co, OH, on November 30,
1834 and six years later he moved with his parents to Indiana. On October 25,
1857, he was married to Miss Elizabeth A Antles, to which this union were born
seven sons and two daughters. In July, 1899, Mr and Mrs Brighton moved to St
Paris at which place occurred his death, Monday, April 29, 1901. He was 66
years, 4 months and 29 days, and leaves an aged widow, two daughters Mrs Edward
Walborn and Mrs DM Emerson, and five sons residing in the western states.
