Elisa D. Green, 51, of Harpers Ferry, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, left her earthly existence and entered into the arms of the Lord on June 11, 2009.
Elisa was born on November 20, 1957, in Reno, Nevada, to Arthur and Melinda Adkins.
She spent her childhood in Hansford with her brother and her sister. Elisa attended East Bank Junior High School and East Bank High School.
She met her lifelong friend and companion, Sam, while in junior high school. They married in 1976 and eventually moved to Harpers Ferry. There, they resided for 25 years.
Elisa found joy in making others laugh; she was always smiling. She lived for her family. Elisa will be missed and forever loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur "JR" Adkins; and grandparents, Arthur Adkins Sr. and Garnet Cooper Adkins.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel Lee Green of Harpers Ferry; mother, Melinda Kirk Adkins of Hansford; daughter: Kelly Renee Green and fiancé, John J. Piccolomini, of Shepherdstown; son, Samuel Lee Green II of Harpers Ferry; grandson, Blake Austin Green of Woodbridge, Va.; brother, Jay Allen Adkins of Barbecue Run; sister: Tina Hutchinson and husband, Burt Hutchinson, of Charlton Heights; and many nieces and nephews.
She leaves behind many friends whom she loved dearly.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 15, at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank, with the Rev. Rush Star officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown.
