Mrs. W.W. Horton Dead
Mrs. W.W. Horton died Jan. 19 at her home in Kershaw, after a very short illness, leaving a husband who is a son of Mr. W.S. Horton of Kershaw, a nephew of Sheriff John P. Hunter and Postmaster, J.F. Hunter of Lancaster, and four children, Hazel the oldest, a student of Wofford College; Randolph, Marie and little Howard, a babe of six months. She was the daughter of Thomas Cauthen f Westville, SC and a grand-niece of the late Dr. A.J. Cauthen of the South Carolina Conference.
There are surviving her, four brothers and and four sisters.
Mrs. Horton was a consistent member of the Methodist church and president of the Ladies Aid Society. She was thirty-eight years old.
Her funeral was one of the largest ever seen in Kershaw, all the stores being closed, and the floral tributes were elaborate and beautiful. Mrs. Horton was a very popular woman and loved by all who knew her.
