Gary Bernard Hart, 73, of Christmas Ridge Road, Berea died Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond following a length illness. He was a life-long resident of Madison County born July 24, 1935, son of the late Dempsie and Ruth Young Hart, a Volunteer Fireman with the Berea Fire Department for 30 years (1966 1996), and member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Libby Hart; 1 step-son, Jimmy (Teresa) Lainhart, both of Lexington; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; 1 brother in law; 4 sisters in law; as well as numerous relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Amy Gabbard Hart.

Funeral Service 1:00 PM Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Reppert Funeral Home with Bro. Darrin Slone officiating. Burial will follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 to 9:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Mike Anderson, Mike Morris, Doug Pratt, Branden Poe, Gary Taulbee, A. D. Rose, David Rose, Brandon Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jackie Cope, Gary Payne, Dean Sanders, Lloyd Lamb and the Berea Volunteer Firemen.
