Funeral Services For Retired Railroad Man Will Be Held Today
Boynton, Jan. 1 - Funeral services for Lon Ballew, 63, will be conducted from the Methodist church at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with the pastor officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Cemetery under direction of Lessher Funeral Home, Muskogee.
Mr. Ballew, a retired railroad man, died at his home here at 2:15 a.m. today following a stroke. He had been a resident of this district about 12 years and is survived by his widow and five children, Walter Ballewof Boynton, Mrs. Lillie Cobb of Council Hill, Mrs. Minnie Lease of Boynton, Willburn Ballew and Ira Ballew of the home; and two brothers, L. E. Ballew of Wainwright and Jack Ballew of Okmulgee; and a sister, Mrs. Avants of Santa Rosa, N.M.
