Joel D. Franklin of Ellettsville, IN, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at Bloomington Hospital. Born on January 12, 1957, he was the son of Dale and Ruth (Cummings) Franklin. He married Sherry Carter on August 27, 1998, and she survives. Also surviving are two step-sons: Wayne and Elliott Caswell, both of Bedford; one brother, two sisters, and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He was a laborer at GM in Defiance, OH. He was a member of the UAW 440, and Christ Temple Pentecostal Church in Bedford. Services for Joel D. Franklin will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2003, at the Christ Temple Pentecostal Church with the Reverend Elliott Perry officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford, IN.
