R. EUGENE REINHARDT

R. Eugene Reinhardt, 82, Red Wing, MN, and formerly of Nelson, WI, died Sunday March 7, 1999 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

He was born August 21, 1916 in rural Nelson to Richard and Lucille (Parkhurst) Reinhardt. On Jauary 2, 1943, he married Velora Haigh at Cochrane, WI.

Eugene was a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in Nelson, where he served on several council and church positions. He was a honorary member of the Nelson Fire Department. He served on both the Nelson Township and Nelson Village Boards.

Survivors include his wife, Velora Reinhardt, of Red wing; two daughters, Rochelle (Glenn) Schamaun of Alma and Marcia (Michael) Galvin of Red Wing; one son, Terry (Jeanne) Reinhardt of North St. Paul, MN; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Beatrice Johnson of Eau Claire, and one brother, Kenneth Reinhardt of Nelson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Mar. 10, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in Nelson, the Rev. Ronald F. Zindler officiating. Spring burial will be in the Buffalo City Cemetery.

Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Stohr-Hagen-Wozney funeral home in Alma, where there was a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friends also called from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church in Nelson.

Pallbearers were Chris Galvin, Isaac Quarberg, Wayne Bailey, David Flavin, Doug Moechnig, and Matthew Quarberg. Honorary pallbearers were Bruce, Paul, Tom R. and Mike Richards and Tom Quarberg.
