Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines, Iowa.
Burial at SUNSET MEMORIAL GARDENS CEMETERY, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.
RICHARD was born May 8, 1926, in Slater, Iowa to RICHARD B. and THERESA (HALVORSON) SYDNES. He moved to the Des Moines, Iowa area in 1943.
RICHARD was the Deputy State Auditor for Iowa until 1980.
RICHARD was an ordained minister and served the Calvary Community Church until his retirement in 1991. Richard was a member of Grace Church.
