Barbara Anne Margison, five year- old daughter of Ivan and Mavis Benjamin Margison, passed away early Saturday morning at her home in Cornwallville. Funeral services were held on Tuesday from Cornwallville Methodist Church at two o'clock. Rev. Dorland R. Russet officiated. Burial was in Cornwallville Cemetery. Surviving besides her parents, are two brothers, Ronald and James, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Chadderdon of Acra, and Mr. and Mrs. Aria Benjamin of Cornwallville, and her great grandmother, Mrs. Mae Benjamin, also of Cornwallville.

For the third time in two weeks the Angel of Mercy has come into our homes at Cornwallville. On Saturday, May 27th, Barbara Margison left us for a better and happier land in which there is no pain, and where tears are turned to smiles of joy. She was taken seriously ill early in February and the doctors held little hope for her recovery.
Our tears, our prayers, our blood (by transfusions), our thoughtful consideration for the grief-stricken parents and their small daughter, and all of the medical skill available in a wide area, were given to saving the life of a little girl, who, on July 3, would have been five years old.
On Friday night Barbara suddenly announed she was hungry and she was given some light nourishment. Quite unexpectedly, she, who had lain either in a semi coma or tossed restlessly in her suffering, sat up in bed and wanted to sing. Those who were with her sang the penny dropping song she had learned in Sunday School and "Her song" (as she called it):

Jesus loves me! this I know, for the Bible tells me so,
Little ones to Him belong, they are weak but He is strong.
Jesus loves me! He who died, Heaven's gate to open wide;
He will wash away my sin, let His little child come in.
Jesus loves me! loves me still, tho' I'm very weak and ill;
From His shining throne on high, comes to watch me where I lie.
Jesus loves me; He will stay close beside me all the way.
If I love Him, when I die, He will take me home on high.
Yes, Jesus loves me; Yes, Jesus loves me,
Yes, Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so."
Nestling down under the covers, with her favorite doll hugged tightly to her heart, she smiled and the forget-me-not blue eyes closed in sleep. A half hour later, the Jesus of whom she had sung so sweetly had taken her to "His home on high." Today in the Garden of Heaven, a shy, sweet forget-me-not opens her eyes to the sunshine.

'"Gently from its cosy bower,
close beside the rippling brook
Bloomed a gentle, blue-eyed flower,
Cared for both by sun and shower,
in its quiet and shaded nook.
Star-eyed flower, how I love thee,
blooming in a sheltered spot.
Brilliant in the skies above me,
Pure as whited clouds around thee,
lovely, sweet Forget-me-not."
