Joseph was a graduate of Saint Joseph High School, in Manistee, Class of 1957.
He received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University in 1964.
He was currently employed at the law firm of Miller, Johnson, Snell, and Cummiskey, PLC as Director of Finance. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Grand Rapids.
Mass and burial were held on 9 May 1996.
