Revolutionary War Patriot--His father, Col. Joseph Champlin was also in American Revolution. Son of Mary Noyes Champlin. She was a descendant of the Rev. James Noyes (Father & Son). Rev. Noyes graduated from Oxford and his son, James, graduated from Harvard and was an original trustee of Yale University. Mary Noyes was the second wife of Joseph Champlin. She was not a Mayflower Descendant. She died in Windham.
