When B.Y. High passed away in 1922 , Ralph took over the store. The groceries and dry goods and millinery had been discontinued by then, and the store continued as High's Hardware.
Ralph passed away of a sudden heart attack in March 1950.
Mrs. Leila High and son Don, continued as owner/operator of High's Hardware.
The Highs were members of Christ Memorial Methodist Church where Leila was active in the ladies groups, and where Don had been a choir member for many years.
Leila High passed away in 1984 at the age of 91 years. She had been involved in American Legion Auxiliary, Women's Club, sixty year member of Eastern Star, and 46 year member of PEO.
