Olive Caroline Winn Gee was the youngest of seven children born to John Winn and Eliza Ann Stephenson Winn in Richfield, Utah. The family moved to Preston, Idaho when she was a child, there she attended schools at Preston and Oneida State Academy. She met and married John Gee in 1896, and gave birth to their six children.
