Patricia Louise Smith, the daughter of Bill and Ruth (Brion) Boucek, was born September 2, 1924 at Ada. She passed away Satuarday, April 19, 1997 at Salina Regional Health Center at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 17 days.

She graduated from Delphos High School in 1943 and Brown Mackie College in Salina. She was united in marriage to Gerald F. Smith November 21, 1946 at Salina. She lived in Minneapolis most of her life and was a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald of the home; two daughters, Diana Douglas of Slidell, LA (now in Minneapolis); Debra Grey of Minneapolis; three grandchildren, James Douglas, Jennifer Douglas and Ashley Rice.

A rosary service was held April 22 at Shields Funeral Home in Minneapolis. The funeral was held Wednesday, April 23, at Shields. Rev. Msgr. James Hake officiated. Organists were Ashley Rice and Carleen Berry.

Casket bearers were Carroll Somers, Cade Rensink, John Nelson, Jr., Brion Rensink, Jack Bremerman and Cliff Johns. Interment was in Highland Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to the Kansas Lung Association.
