Mrs Ray Nason Dies Last Friday
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church last Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock over the remains of Mrs. Ray Nason, nee Miss Lily Catherine Weigandt, daughter of Mr. A. E. Weigandt, formerly of Murdo. Mrs. Nason died at Rapid City last Friday morning as she was being taken from her home at Keystone to the hospital for treatment for inflammatory rheumatism, whch trouble has been ailing her more or less for some time. Death came suddenly and unexpectedly and was a great shock to the family and other relatives as well as the many friends of Mrs. Nason.
At the time of Mrs. Nason’s death she was 36 years, three months and eight days old. She was born at Moline, Ill., on August 24, 1892. Besides the young husband the deceased leaves seven children, two sons and five daughter, the father, A. E. Weigandt, and four brothers. The brothers are Harry Weigandt, of Washington, D. C., Clarence, of Moline, Ill., and L. T. and Edward Weigandt, of Murdo, all of whom have the heartfelt sympathy of the many friends of the family.
Rev. Otho Blackburn, of the Methodist church, presided at the services Tuesday and interment was made in the Murdo cemetery following the church services.
For many years, Mrs. Nason, as a girl, resided with her parents on the farm southeast of Murdo, where she grew to young womanhood and where she won many close friends. About three years ago the Nason family moved to Keystone where Mr. Nason has been employed since that time. Mrs. Nason was a kind-hearted young lady, always a great help about her home before marrying and taking up a home of her own. She was an equally kind wife and mother and her taking away from her family of young children is indeed a sad blow to them, and it is with the deepest feeling of sorrow and sympathy that the friends of long acquaintance in Murdo and this community as a whole that they give the bereaved ones their condolence at this time.
