Ruth Ellen Brion was born at Ada, Kansas Jan 21, 1903 and departed this life at Minneapolis, Kansas, Dec 13,1926 at 23 years, 10 months and 18 days. She was the daughter of Lena and Frank E. Brion. Mr. Brion passed away in July 1911. She was baptised into the fellowship of the Ada Baptist Church on Nov. 21 1913. She graduated from the Ada High School with the class of 1921 and was united in marriage to William Boucek of Ada on July 31 of the same year. To this union was born a son and a daughter; Billy Brion, aged 4 and Patricia Louise, aged 2. Besides the children, she is survived by her husband, her mother and father, Mr and Mrs. Henry Coatney, two brothers Ray, of Trinidad, Colo., and Clay a senior in Manhattan, two half-brothers Ray and Kale and one half-sister, Mrs. P.C. Van Meter all of Ada. Many other relatives and the entire community mourn her early death. She will be sadly missed from the home and the family and relatives have the sincere sympathy of all who know them. "Lord, not our will, but thine be done." Funeral services were conducted by her pastor D.T. Burress, at the Ada Baptist Church, Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 12. The theme of the sermon was "The Relative Importance of the Body to the Spirit."
The remains were laid to rest in the Ada Cemetery.
