The birth year of 1890 is after the death date of her father's only known wife (Amanda Henry, 1887). So, either the birth year is wrong (very possible), the death year of her "mother" is wrong (very unlikely, given that the marker is contemporary to the time period), or John H. Williams married again after the death of Amanda Henry (certainly possible).

Maybelle was married twice: first to Joe Elbert Stephens and, after his death, to Reuben Elliott.

Obituary
Final Rites For Mrs. May Bell Elliott Tuesday Afternoon

Mrs Maybell Elliott died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bob Banks, in the Bethel Community Sunday morning after a long illness. She was born, reared, and lived her life out in this community and was affiliated with the Baptist Church. Her husband preceeded her in death in 1944.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at two pm in the Pine Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Walter Ledford of Zwolle officiated with the Rev. Barney Combe, pastor of Pine Grove, assisting. The McClure sisters did the singing. Interment was in the family (Williams) cemetery in the Bethel Community.

Pallbearers were all nephews: Lamar Williams, Ed Williams, Jack Railey, Charley Stephens, W. J. ["Doc"] Stillwell and Jerry Wayne Stillwell. Survivors other than Mrs Banks are two sons, Claude Stephens, Detroit Michigan; and Emmett Elliott of Trento, Michigan; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
