She spent the first few years of her life with her parents on farms in this area. The family moved to Munden about 1914. Dorothy lived the rest of her life in Munden where she went through elementary school and high school. She joined the Methodist church as a young girl.
She had one brother, Chester Floyd Masten. Her parents and her brother preceded her in death.
She was married to John Beryl Hudson on July 27, 1929 at Belleville and they moved to Munden. Beryl worked at the carpentry trade most of his life. Eleven children were born to this family. Three daughters died in infancy.
She is survived by her husband, Beryl, and by two daughters; Mrs. Elaine Breault, Wichita and Mrs. Janet Lunsford, Lyons.
Six sons: Robert G. Hudson, San Diego, Calif., John W. Hudson, Salina, Donald K. Hudson, Stanford, Conn., Douglas L. Hudson, Lyons, Larry Hudson, Wichita, and Jerry Hudson, Manhattan.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Alden L. Longwell from the Methodist church, Munden, Tuesday, October 31, at 2:00 p.m. Burial was in Ida cemetery.
