Thomas William Chilcote died at his home in Mapleton, Monday morning, February 4, at 7:30 o'clock, of a complication of diseases, after an illness of a number of months duration. He was a son of William and Catherine Chilcote (both deceased) and was born in Mifflin County, December 23, 1885, hence was aged 43 years 1 month and 11 days.
On December 3, 1906, he was united in marriage to Miss Hattie Lamberson, of Mapleton, who survives with three children, Misses Vilma and Romaine, of State College and Kermit, at home. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters, Charles Chilcote of Calvin, Harry Chilcote and Mrs L. Wittig of Montgomery County; Mrs John Montgomery, Mrs Florence McMullen, Mrs Joseph Heather and Oliver Chilcote, all of Mapleton.
He was a member of the Loyal Sons Bible Class of the United Brethren Sunday School of Mapleton, also a member of the W.C. No. 59, P.O.S. of A. of Mapleton and Mapleton Loday, No. 468, I.O.O.F. and the Loyal Order of Moose No. 244, of Huntingdon, and the Mapleton Hunting club.
Funeral services will be held at the home in Mapleton on WEdnesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. H. H. Hummel, pastor of the United Brethren Church. Interment in I.O.O.F. cemetery at Mapleton.
