Ludwlg Carl Hoffman, 83, died at the Lutheran Old People's home on the Burlington road shortly afternoon today following an illness of several months. He was a native of Germany and was born July 29, 1839. After coming
to America he spent a number of years in Chicago but has been an inmate of the home where he died for the past nine years. He is survived by his wife who also is at the Old People's home. Definite funeral arrangements have yet
be made but it is probable that the remains will be taken to Chicago for burial.
