.
Husband of Bloomy Irene Maranville, whom he married on October 27, 1846, in Ticonderoga, Essex, NY.
.
**The Maranville genealogy says that Albert was the son of Philip and Abigail Brown, but I don't think that's correct. Here is my reasoning:
He does not appear to have a birth record, and his death record identifies him only as the son of Philip Brown; his mother's name is not given.
It is unlikely that he is the son of Abigail (Gorham) Brown b. 22 Feb 1757, because she would have been 61 years old at the time of his birth.
Philip Brown Jr. and Maria Lewis were married in September 1817 and it is much more likely that Albert (born in 1818) was their first child.
In the 1820 Census there is no child 2 years of age in the Philip (and Abigail) Brown Sr. household, whereas there is such a male child in the Philip and (Maria) Brown Jr. household. And the child also appears in subsequent census enumerations.
