Minnie May Gallea dies
Death occurs this morning at the house or her daughter
Mrs Minnie May Gallea, a pioneer resident of the Cato neighborhood and the widow of late Franklin Ulysses Gallea passed away at 3:30 this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs James Engle of near Cato, where she had making her home since the death of her husband
Mrs Gallea was a daughter of George and Martha E. Ferris Goltra She was born at Rantoul, Illinois in February 2, 1870 and was 71 years old, her marriage to Mr. Gallea took place at Cato on January 16 1889, Mr. Gallea’s death accured on June 5, 1936.
Surviving are two daughters Mrs W. D. Engle of rural route 4, Ft. Scott; Mrs James E. Engle of rural route 2, Arcadia (*Cato), a brother, Ed Goltra, of Parsons; and six grandchildren and three great grandchildren
Mrs Gallea was a member of Methodist church
The body was taken to the Konantz’s funeral home.
The funeral services are to be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon from the Cato Christian church and interment is to be made at the Farlington Cemetery
These selected to serve as pall bearers are the following: Dick Coonrod, Perry Beals, Charles Leverich, Robert Reynolds, Louis Birdsell, and Tony Wilmoth.
