Edwin Jordan Dies Suddenly Monday
Pneumonia Takes Prominent Cashmere Man - Ill Only Few Days
Edwin Jordan died suddenly at the home of his brother Monday morning after a very short illness and while many of his friends were unaware that he was not in good health. The funeral is to be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the Kuelbs Undertaking parlor and interment will be made in the new Cashmere cemetery. Odd Fellows will be the pall bearers.
Mr. Jordan had a large number of friends in Cashmere and his excellent character made him loved by all who knew him. He was a member of the Cashmere band for fifteen years and played the cornet faithfully and well.
For many years he had been a member of the Cashmere IOOF lodge and was a past grand of this order.
Edwin William Jordan was born at Cheney, Wash., April, 28, 1884,. He lived at Cheney until 1905 and from there he moved to Cashmere where he has since resided.
He was married to Fannie May McManus February 22, 1911. One child, Lila Marie, was born to this union.
He began feeling ill Wednesday but was not confined to his bed until Friday evening, and died Monday morning at the home of his brother and sisters, August 11, 1924, at 8:48 at the age of 40 years, 3 months and 14 days.
Beside his wife and daughter, he leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Jordan of Los Angeles, Calif., two brothers, Archie C. Jordan of Los Angeles and Victor A. Jordan of Cashmere, three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Hatfield of Parkdale, Oregon, Mrs. Wilms Eaton of Cashmere and Mrs. John Bernett of Cashmere.
