RAYMOND CASTRO A native of Alameda County, Raymond Castro entered into eternal rest on Nov. 18, 2006 at 86. He was preceded in death by his wife Grace Castro, his brother, George and his sister, Lorraine Shannely. He is survived by his children, Raymond of Covina and June Wells of Las Vegas, NV. He also leaves behind a cherished grand-daughter, Robin and great-grandson, Christian; niece, Fernanda Jardin (husband Manuel) as well as many other nieces and nephews. Born December 1, 1919, in Oakland, Raymond was a longshoreman at the San Francisco Docks for 35 Years. In his free time he loved to tend his garden and enjoyed trips to Reno. Family and friends are invited to attend an evening vigil service on Tuesday, November 21st at Holy Angel Funeral and Cremation Center, 1051 Harder Rd., Hayward, at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 22nd at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 4000 East Castro Valley Blvd., Castro Valley commencing 10:00 a.m. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
