Jack Knapp Dies
After Brief Illness
Jack A. Knapp, blacksmith, aged 56 years, died early Sunday morning after a few hours' illness. Acute indigestion was believed to have caused his death.
He was stricken ill Saturday afternoon. Getting no better he was taken by ambulance to the hospital at Sulphur about 2 a.m. where he lived only a short time.
The funeral was held at the family home in this city Monday at 2:30, and was conducted by Rev. S. M. Abston, followed by interment in Green Hill cemetery.
Mr. Knapp was born near Tishomingo, and spent most of his life in what is now Southern Oklahoma. He lived at Lexington, Okla., a long time. For several years he has been connected with blacksmith shops in Davis. He is survived by his wife, also three sons and three daughters by a former marriage, namely: Wm. and Ernest Knapp, Lindsay, Okla., and Charley Knapp, Davis; Mrs. Ira Blankenship, Anadarko; Mrs. George Hinchey, Davis, and Mrs. Iva Brashears, living near Davis. He leaves two brothers, W. W. Knapp, Davis, and Tom Knapp, Sulphur.
