When but fourteen years of age she united with the Union Valley Baptist church, of Piedmont, Ohio, during the pastorate of Rev. W. H. Wilson. In 1904, she transferred her membership to the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, near Smithfield, Ohio. She remained a member of the same until her death.
On February 19, 1905, she united in marriage with Joseph Roghelia, of Yazoo City, Mississippi. To this union were born six children, Roxie Lee, Issac Franklin (deceased), Leonard Earl, Mildred Oloudene, Joseph Lloyd, and David Leland.
Besides her husband and children she leaves her sister Leota, and mother, Mrs. I. M. Chandler, of near Smithfield. A host of relatives and friends morn her loss and she will be greatly missed in the community as well as the home. She was one of God's sunbeams, making life always brighter with her ever ready smile.
