1992 Apr 8 - Mancelona - Eda Eda Hill was born Wednesday 2 Jun 1916 in Bellaire to William Henry & Virginia M 'Virgie' (VanderMark) Hill. She lived all of her life in Bellaire, Ellsworth, Kalkaska, and the surrounding area. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, playing the piano and gardening. She was a member of the Ellsworth Christian Reformed Church. She married Louie DeJonge Thursday 30 Jul 1936 in Ellsworth.

Eda Eda 'Eda' (DeJonge) Hill of Mancelona died Wednesday evening 8 Apr 1992 at the age of 75 y 10 m 6 d at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care following a lengthy illness. Suvivors include 4 daughters, Mary & Jerome Shuboy of Mancelona, Elsie & Frank Powers of Traverse City, Luella & Ralph Mapes of Charlevoix and Allie DeJonge of Burlington, Wisconsin; 1 son Louie & Eva Mae DeJonge of Kalkaska; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Nettie (Mrs Russell) Marr of Laingsburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie; 1 grandson, Alfred E Baker Jr; and 2 brothers, Greorge H Hill and Lauron Hill and 4 sisters, Abbie Lewis, Lillian Reed, Hattie Hope, and Dora Hill.

Visitation was until 9 pm Friday 10 Apr 1987 and 10 am - 1 pm Saturday 11 Apr 1987 at Paullin Funeral Home in Mancelona. Funeral services were 1 pm Saturday 11 Apr 1992 at Paullin Funeral Home with Rev Leonard Riemersma officiating.

Burial was in Coldsprings Township Cemetery in Kalkaska.

Memorial contributions were to be directed to Ebenezer Christian School in Ellsworth. Envelopes were available at the funeral home.
