Clara was the daughter of John Randolph and Frances Smith. She married and had two daughters Katherine and Mary. I do not think Katherine married. I have not found any research to indicate so. Mary married Frank A. Calderone, 1941 and named William Lon Martin, 1933, and they had two children Neil and Linda Martin.

Researching this young woman with a small flat marker at Hazelwood Cemetery. She was born in Springfield, Greene, Missouri. A passport application for her can be found at Ancestry. She clearly states her birth place on the document as Springfield, Missouri and the date of her birth listed is 26th, Dec. 1875. Saying she lived there from the years 1875 to 1915, uninterrupted. Showing a permanent domicile of 629 Cherry Street. She does not list any occupation. Showing on the document she went to Washington D C , it was cancelled and returned to her Sept. 1917. She is showing on this application she is about to go abroad for 6 months and the purpose to visit Paris. This was applied for Kate Steichen that was born in Paris France May 27, 1908. Her husband emigrated to America and she did not know the definite date sailing on a steamer. Her purpose of the visit "to look after my interest in Real Property." Signed May 5, 1915. Age was 39. Stature 5 feet, five inches, eyes grey, nose small and straight, mouth small, chin round, hair dark blonde, complexion fair, face oval. Photo of her and Kate.

She can be found in New York 1925 state census age 50 with daughter Kate who was age 22. Mary was born July 1, 1904, Paris, France.

History in the local Greene County Library shows she was born Dec. 26, 1875, traveled to Paris to study music. Sme met her husband an artist, Edward Steichen. They lived in France when the war broke out in 1914, fleeing to America. Her husband Edward remained in New York, and joined the army. Clara returned to France with the girls. Edward and Clara divorced in 1922. She travel abroad extensively. I did see on the 1940 census she listed herself as living in Spain in 1935.
