EX-CON SHOT TO DEATH IN FRESNO HOME
Fresno Bee, The (CA) - Friday, January 29, 1988, p. B4
The body of a 47-year-old Fresno man was found early Thursday in his home at 4556 E. Clay Ave., Fresno police reported. The victim, identified as James Everett Clark , was shot in the head. Detective Ruben Mange officers were sent to Clark 's home about 12:30 a.m. after a neighbor reported a disturbance. They found the front door unlocked and blood seeping from under it. Clark 's body was found just inside the door. Mange said the neighbor heard yelling and screaming and then saw two men run from Clark 's home.
Investigators said evidence indicates that Clark put up a struggle before he was shot.
Authorities said Clark had been released from state prison in November after serving almost four years for false imprisonment.
Mange said Clark had been living at the duplex apartment with his wife, Nancy, but she was not at home at the time of the shooting.
