Wynona was born June 28, 1922, in Rocky, Okla., to Earl and Ethel Burrow. She married Ben Ernest Bates on Nov. 30, 1941, in Lockney.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Foster of Henderson; a son, Larry Bates of Big Spring; a brother, Hardy Burrow of Tulia; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Tulia Senior Citizens Center, 619 S.E. Second St., Tulia, TX 79088-2405; or Tulia Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 116, Tulia, TX 79088.
