TULIA - Wynona Burrow Bates, 86, formerly of Tulia died Friday, June 19, 2009, in Henderson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Calvary Baptist Church in Tulia. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
Wynona was born June 28, 1922, in Rocky, Okla., to Earl and Ethel Burrow. She married Ben Ernest Bates on Nov. 30, 1941, in Lockney.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Foster of Henderson; a son, Larry Bates of Big Spring; a brother, Hardy Burrow of Tulia; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Tulia Senior Citizens Center, 619 S.E. Second St., Tulia, TX 79088-2405; or Tulia Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 116, Tulia, TX 79088.
