This is my Grandpa Walter. He was a very kind person. The thing I remember about my grandpa most is the smell of Old Spice that he wore everyday.
I remember him sitting for hours making flies for fly fishing. Fishing was one of his most favorite things to do, but he wouldn't let me come with him very often. Seems that I grew bored too quickly and would begin to throw rocks in the creek or begin to splash about in the creek, which isn't too good for bank fishing or fly fishing:o)
I remember his gardens -- vegetable and flower. He had the best veggies you ever tasted and the most beautiful flowers you ever saw. I loved his sweet-peas -- they swelled so good :o)
I can still see him sitting at the dining table in the kitchen putting brown sugar in his coffee, stirring it, then taking a drink with a look of pleasure on his face after that first taste.
