Emma Barrett Haislip was my grandmother. I do not believe her middle name was Frances. The story I remember is that she didn't like the name Emma and she didn't have a middle name so her husband's sisters suggested "Frances" as a middle name. She used that, but it was not a legal name change, as far as I know.
