Robert Gary Hogg, 58, loved by family and friends, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2009, surrounded by family.

Gary was a true renaissance man with many talents that seemed to come naturally to him. He was an exceptionally intelligent person that mastered numerous skills including being a musician, artist, electrician, carpenter, plumber, and chef to name a few. He could do anything. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and best friend.

He first picked up a bass guitar at the age of 14 and played in many bands over the next four decades as a successful entertainer. He served in the United States Navy as an aircraft electrician during the Vietnam War. After his service in the military, he pursued a career in A/C refrigeration and as an electrician. He was a humble and self sacrificing individual that dedicated his free time and talents to help family and friends.

Gary is survived by two sons; Dennis Shaun Hogg (his wife Jessica), and Chad Andrew Hogg (his wife Jovelyn), grandchildren; Caius and Casien Hogg, brothers John S. Hogg (his wife Lynn) and Steve R. Hogg, and nieces Ashley Hogg, Sunshine Mann, and Stephanie Otteni all of Pensacola, Fl.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents J.C. Hogg and Alma Hogg Gillette and his daughter Amber Nicole Hogg.

Visitations will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 27th 2009, with service to follow at 11:00 am at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Hwy. He will be sorely missed by all he knew and loved.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
By David Romano

When tomorrow starts without me
and I'm not here to see...
If the sun should rise and find your
eyes filled with tears for me,

I wish so much you wouldn't cry
the way you did today...
While thinking of the many things
we didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,
as much as I love you...
And each time you think of me,
I know you'll miss me, too.

But when tomorrow starts without me,
please try to understand...
That Jesus came and called my name
and took me by the hand,

And said my place was ready
in heaven far above...
And that I'd have to leave behind
all those I dearly love.

So when tomorrow starts without me,
don't think we're far apart...
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here in your heart.
