Donald W. Croddy, 53, Dies Early Today; Rites To Be Wednesday
Donald W. Croddy, 53, of 1718 1/2 Grand, died at 1:15 a.m. today in Fayette Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient 11 weeks. He had been in failing health since January. Mr. Croddy, who came here from New Salem in 1934, had been employed by Nelson-McGraw since then. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Eagles Lodge.
Survivors are his wife, formerly Mildred Baldwin, who teaches at Grandview School; his mother, Mrs. Bernie Pruet of Rush County; two half-brothers, Lowell Pruet of New Salem and Robert Pruet of Indianapolis.
Rites will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Myers Funeral Home where friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday. Dr. J. G. Moore will officiate and burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg.

Donald W. Croddy, age 53, former New Salem resident, died Monday morning at 1:15 o'clock at the Fayette Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for 11 weeks. He had been ill since January.
He moved to Connersville in 1934, and was employed at the Nelson McGraw automobile agency.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Eagles Lodge in Connersville. He was married to Mildred Baldwin, who survives, with his mother, Mrs. Bernie Pruet of this county, two half-brothers, Lowell Pruet of New Salem and Robert Pruet of Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Myers Funeral Home in Connersville, with Dr. J. G. Moore officiating. Burial will be Springhill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
