Mrs. Mallory was the daughter of Menzo and Catherine (Getman) Hoke and she was born August 28, 1865, only a short distance from the home in which she passed away. Her marriage to Mr. Mallory ccurred over fifty years ago. He died May 24, 1926. She was a woman entirely, devoted to the home, and its affairs, of a kindly nature which bound her closely to friends and her passing removes, one who was known and esteemed by a wide circle of friends, especially many who resided in that neighborhood and a number of the visitors to that section of the Otsego Lake shore a generation ago. Her passing will be a matter of deep regret to all. The nearest surviving relatives are several cousins. The funeral was held from the home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Father Miles Lowell Yates, rector of Christ church of Cooperstown, officiating. Burial was made in Lakewood cemetery
