Enoch Fountain Webb
Enoch Fountain WEBB was born in 1836 in Grayson Co., Virginia. He died on 2 Oct 1861 in Nicholas Co., Virginia, (Now West Virginia). He married Jonah "Irena" MARTIN on 5 Sep 1853 in Carroll Co., Virginia.
Enoch Fountain Webb had to leave his family and fight in the Civil War. On his way back from the war he arrived in Welch West Virginia and was very sick. He stopped at a home there and the wife of the house tried to save him but he was too weak and sick for her to help him. He died and she wrapped him in a blanket and buried him in Welch. She wrote Jonah "Irena" a letter and sent his pocket watch for her to have. Not sure where in Welch,W Va. he is buried.
Enoch Fountain and Jonah "Irena" had five children--Joanah P. Webb Viers Clifton--Lafayette W. Webb--Lucinda E. Webb--Isaac M. Webb and Wingfield Webb.
