C.B. Cox Jr., 79, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009, helped by his wife of 25-plus years, Bev, hospice staff and numerous family and friends, into the gates of his happy hunting grounds. He joins his family members who predeceased him, including his parents; two brothers; and son, Daniel Cox.
Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at the American Legion Hall, 3409 Davis Rd., Granbury.
Memorials: May be made to a favorite charity, American Cancer Society , Mission Hospice or Med-Cure.
C.B. was born Feb. 23, 1930, in Arkansas. His early schooling was in Murphysville, Ark., and he went to college in Fayetteville, Ark., receiving a bachelor's degree in business management.
After a short time at Ford Motor Co., he joined the business world of General Dynamics, later Lockheed Martin, for 39 years as a chief programming estimating and computer operations and control chief.
Survivors: Wife, Beverly Kruser Cox; son, David Cox; brothers, Huey and Buster Cox; nephew, Ron Cox; numerous other nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Sandra Kruser, Cindy Kruser, Kevin Kruser; stepgrandchildren, Amber Kruser-Ruff (Clark Whittimore), Shay Kruser-Ruff, Nina Kruser, A. Jay Kruser Varoz; and stepgreat-grandson, Kenyon Whittimore.
