Charles John Lofback, 60-year-old resident of Mass, died Saturday, December 4, following a lengthy illness. He was brought to the Ontonagon Hospital for observation and died shortly after admittance.
The deceased is survived by the widow; four sons, Einard, Arthur, Evald and Wilbert; and one daughter, Helvi, all residing in Mass. He was born in Wasas Laani, Finland November 7, 1877 and came to this country while a young man. He followed the trade of carpentering for many years.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Mass Finnish Lutheran Church with Rev. E. J. Isaac of Hancock officiating. Burial was made in the Greenland cemetery.
