He and Annie F. Bailess married in Jackson Co., Ohio on Sept. 24, 1887. That union produced two daughters, Flora M. (b. 1886) and Leeona (b. 1888) before they divorced in June 1900. Jesse's second marriage, on Oct. 24, 1900 in Parke Co., Indiana was to Anna Brockway. This was also Anna's second marriage, (her maiden name being Phillips). Jesse and Anna were parents to a daughter, Pauline (b. 1901). Sadly this marriage ended in 1909 with Anna's death. On Dec. 22, 1909, Jesse Wood married for the third time. His bride, Mary Sylvia Vance, was 24 years his junior, and her first marriage.
