Bertha Gibson died Aug 7, 1968 at Seaside Hospital at the age of 67 years. She was a native of Little Rock, Arkansas. She is survived by her children, Maxine Center of Sacramento, Louise Elbon, Antioch, Calif., and Ann Wright, Crescent City. She had 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was the sister to Oscar Reagan of Caruthers, Calif., Tom Reagan of Atoka, Oakla., Rachel Dunlap; Caruthers, Elorza Henson, Atoka, and numerous other relatives. Mrs. Gibson came to Crescent City in 1946 with her late husband and 4 children. Her husband was known as "Big Gib" on the water front and river. He operated the fishing vessel known as the "Vixen" with his son, Bub Gibson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 10, at Wier's Mortuary Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend J. C. Hendon officiating. Internment will be at the Veternas Memorial Cemetery.
