He was born in Hartford and lived there until his retirement in 1968, after which he resided several months each year in Florida, the remaining months in Old Saybrook.
He was a graduate of Weaver High School, earned his B.A. at Trinity College in 1935 and his M.A. at Harvard in 1936. He was a teacher for many years at Bulkeley High School, retiring as chairman of the Foreign Language Dept. in 1968. He also taught Italian part time at the Hartt School of Music and at Central Connecticut State University.
Anthony is survived by two brothers, Joseph Cacase of West Virginia and Bernard Cacase of Rocky Hill, and one sister, Isabelle McMahon of East Hartford; as well as several nieces and nephews, including his devoted nephew Craig Cacase of Newington.
His Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Avenue, Newington.
Interment will be private in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Newington Memorial.
