Lizzie Ahlmyer, Lutheran Homes Resident, Dies
Lizzie Ahlmyer, 78, a resident of the Lutheran Homes near here for the past six years, died at 11 a.m. today at the homes following an extended illness.
She was born at West Phalia, Germany, on Aug. 28, 1867, the daughter of Friedrich and Katharina Muter Ahlmyer, and had resided at Royal, Ill., before coming to the homes.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Bluhm, Royal, Ill., and Mrs. Sophie Moser, Louisville, Ky. Her parents preceded her in death.
The body is at the George M. Wittich Funeral Home and will remain there until time for services which will be conducted at the homes at 2:30 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Ralph Radloff, assistant superintendent at the homes.
Interment will be in the cemetery there.
