Edna J. Stanley, 81, 526 N. 26th St., New Castle, Ind., died Monday, January 9, 1989 in the Rush Memorial Hospital, Rushville, Ind.

A native of Darwin, Va., she had lived in New Castle, Ind., since 1926. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge Auxiliary and was past president of the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary, all of New Castle.

She is survived by her husband, Theodore R. Stanley; a son, Joseph H. Stanley, Greensburg and daughter-in-law Virginia Stanley, Greensburg; a daughter-in-law, Irene Stanley, New Castle, Ind.; a sister, Estelle Dixon, Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Harold E. Stanley, who died in 1987.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Macer-Hall-Pasco Funeral Home, New Castle, Ind., with the Rev. R.E. Pavy, officiating.

Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery, New Castle, Ind.

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
